What You Should Know
Gamefroot is a game design platform designed by educators in New Zealand. It is used throughout NZ in after school and computer science programs in schools.
This challenge encourages personalized design decisions from the very first steps, so you may find students off-roading early in the challenge. We have designed our challenge to start with simple block coding and gradually become more complex in the later levels. If you find students get frustrated, guide them back to the FUSE challenge and encourage them to work all the way through to Level 5 before they head back into the many wonderful coding resources on Gamefroot.
Once students work through our FUSE challenge, there are additional Gamefroot game templates on their website and extensive tutorials on their YouTube channel.
