Use Collaboration Platforms to Help the FUSE Experience
We recommend opening a collaboration platform while students work to provide peer and facilitator support. This could be a video meeting, discussion board, or other shared resource your school provides.
In-depth 3D Challenges
This is a great time to work on some of our tougher 3D challenges: Print My Ride, Eye Candy, or Dream Home Gut Rehab! Encourage students to save the models they make for 3D printing when they are back in school. You might also consider, once new routines are established, having a sharing session (if your technology resources support this) of students’ digital designs.
Suggest Designing Idea Projects
You can turn on the My Ideas tool in your Facilitator Toolkit. The My Ideas tool allows students to design their own projects and share them with other students. An Idea will show up on the Dashboard for students to re-mix and share. Here is a video on My Idea projects.
Turn on Commenting
There is an available commenting feature that exists with each artifact a student uploads. You can use the Commenting feature to provide feedback to students, or start a conversation. Students can also comment on work, supporting such an important part of the FUSE experience—students learning from and giving feedback to each other.
To turn on these tools, go to the SETTINGS Tab in your FACILITATOR TOOLKIT:
Then turn on the Website Features you wish to activate. You can turn them off or on at any point.
