In Smart Castle, students will explore concepts related Smart Homes while equipping a toy wooden castle with modern amenities.
Things You Should Know
This challenge is more advanced than the other Arduino challenges. It is recommended to open this challenge later in the term after students have been exposed to Party Lights or Mini Jumbotron.
The current version of Smart Castle uses the desktop, IDE, version of Arduino. You will want to install this software on any machine that students are using to upload their code.
If a student starts the challenge on a Chromebook, they will need to switch to a desktop machine with either a Windows or Mac operating system to be able to use the Arduino IDE software to upload their code to the Arduino micro controller board.
