In Print My Ride, students will design and 3d print a car using simple geometry.
What You Should Know
After finding the profile (side view) of a car they like, students will draw an outline of the car using the online 3D modeling software Onshape. The flat images are pulled into the third dimension and exported as .gcode files for slicing.
If you get a pop up message when in OnShape that says you need to have WebGL enabled just follow the instructions Linked HERE.
Toothpicks will come in handy in the later levels to act as axles for the the wheels. They can be found in the General Studio Supplies Kit.
