We've Updated the LED Color Lights Challenge
Starting today you'll see a new challenge option in your challenge gallery; LED Color Lights 2.0!
What Should I know about LED Color Lights 2.0?
Your students will still use the LED Color Lights FUSE kit you already have to build complex circuits, however the LED Color Lights 2.0 challenge has:
- Redesigned Levels
- New and Comprehensive Step by Step Tutorial Videos
- AAA Batteries, instead of 9v Batteries
In the old version if kids forgot to use resistors in their circuits the powerful 9 volts would make the bulbs die. We took this seriously. Because you can't make light of a dead bulb. *Buh-dum-tiss*
What do I need to do to get LED Color Lights 2.0?
If your studio started after July 1st, 2018 your LED Color Lights kits came with AAA batteries and a AAA battery holder. Just make sure the 2.0 version of the challenge is toggled in your toolkit, as shown in the gif below.
If your studio started before July 1st, 2018, we've created an optional LED Color Lights Upgrade Kit! Priced at $30, it contains enough AAAs and AAA battery holders to upgrade six LED Color Lights Kits!
You can order it by requesting it at firstname.lastname@example.org
However, if you don't want to order the upgrade kit, you don't have to! The original LED Color Lights challenge will remain available!
