The Child Online Privacy and Protection Act mandates that all students under 13 years old receive parental permission when creating accounts for online applications or services. If any of the students you serve are under 13 and will be accessing FUSE, you will need to secure their parents' permission to create an account of fusestudio.net.

Is there a FUSE permission slip?
Yes, there is. Attached to the bottom on this article is a parent packet which includes a one-pager about FUSE as well as a permission slip. You can download this packet, print it, and have your students take it home for their parents to sign.
Is there a digital version of the FUSE permission slip?
Yes, you can make a copy of a Google form version of the permission slip here. Share your own version of the permission slip with your students' families and collect responses yourself.
Make a copy of the Permission form in Spanish here.
What about students who do not get parental permission?
Great question. Even if a student does not get permission to create an account, they will not be blocked from participating in FUSE. Please click here for an article that discusses this situation.
